Pocket Tales is a storytelling application designed for families. Users provide characters and basic configuration, and the system generates original stories for children. The concept is simple. The architecture behind it is not.

It is a proof of concept for a structured approach where LLM capabilities are combined with layered architectural controls to ensure variability, ethical alignment, pedagogical soundness, and legal compliance. The model serves the system, not the other way around.
Every detail, from interaction patterns to content constraints, was shaped by how families actually use the product. Research into real user needs informed the design decisions that keep the experience relevant, safe, and genuinely useful in everyday life.
The architecture developed through Pocket Tales has since been applied across multiple projects. It demonstrates a repeatable approach to building LLM-powered applications where output quality, domain-specific constraints, and user trust are not afterthoughts but structural requirements.
